Time for the D's

Moving on to the D-tangles now. I finally figured out how to get the shading to scan better.

Another C tangle

I finished another C-tangle, using a tanlge I have never used before, Chard. The shading didn't really scan right.

Uses: Croon; Chainging, Chard

C-tangles continued

I intended to use more tangles on this one, but once I got this far, I decided I liked it just the way it is. But I did decide to use some color.

Uses: Cat-kin and Chainlette

Starting the C's

I have made it to the C-tangles now. I like the open-ness of this one.

Doing B again

This MIGHT be the last B tangle - unless I find some more that I want to practice. I believe I really wanted the left side to be the bottom, but I scanned it this way. Doesn't look too bad....

Uses: Bridgen, Boucle, Bluebonnets, Bumps, Bubbles, Bandola and BB

More B Tangles

Here's another B tangle. I found some more B tangles, so there will be more B postings in this series. Will I ever make it to C???
Uses: Barbed wire; Black-eyed peas; Bilt; Box spirals; Betweed; Basketweave; Beadlines; Beelight

Roller Coaster

I've finished one last B tangle and have been working on tangles starting with C but haven't gotten them scanned yet. They will be posted later this week. Here's a tangle I did a few weeks ago. I think I'll name this creation Roller Coaster, which it sort of resembles. Well, at least to my eye.

Tangles used: Strata, Stoic, Bubbles and one I forgot the name of.

Seeing double

Late last year, I was experimenting with making ornaments and Christmas cards using Zentangles. I made a design that I liked, then copied it and colored it. Below are the results.

Tangles used: Betweed; Beadlines; BB, and one I don't know the name of.

I didn't use these designs for anything. They've just been sitting in my "finished" folder. Thought I'd share them.

Mostly B

Back to the B's. This is mostly B-tangles. It uses Bubbles and another tangle I cannot find the name of.  When I started doing these, I got myself a small spiral bound sketch pad - the kind made to be very portable - and started putting tangles in it that I liked. Sometimes, I forgot to put in the name. The background "webbing" is one of those. I did put some shading in this one, but it doesn't seem to have shown up on the scan. Perhaps I need to make the shading more obvious.

Last A

I finally finished a tangle that I can post. This one came out OK. Anyone know a good place to learn how to do shading??? Guess I should learn how to do the patterns first, but I love looking at the ones that have shading. This pattern was made with all A tangles.

Antidots, Ahh, Arc Flower, Ash leaf, Afterglo, Arrowheads and Ambler used.

This A gets a D

I finally finished another tangle - using A's.

This one uses Afterglo, Arc Flower, Arrowheads, and Antidots

I'm not to fond of this one - it looks unbalanced to me. But, it does use some Tangles that I have not used very often.

Busy days

Sorry I haven't posted any new tangles. I've been busy with some other things (insert EQ2 here.) AND making some cards. I have lots of birthdays coming up in March. I've been using a technique I learned years ago, but just started do more of called Iris Folding. Guess I should have scanned the cards I made and sent already (Valentines)  - but I didn't. Just wanted to get them in the mail on time. I'll try to remember to scan any new ones I make and post them at a later date.

Here's B

I did this B tangle, but I still want to go back and do more with A. After I started this B, I decided to try to use all the A tangles. So, here's B, but I'll get back to A soon.

This uses BarberPole, BB, and Beadlines.

Letter Project - A

I've been trying to think up something to write about. Since I would like to learn moe Zentangles, I decided to do it alphabetically. So, I made a tangle using the letter A, and used tangles whose names began with the Letter A. Here it is:

This uses Agua, Ahh, and Archer.

More to come!

Watercolor added

Here's a tangle I did last year. I looked at it last week and decided to try adding a bit of color so I used some watercolors on it.

No borders

One of the comments (well, OK, the ONLY comment so far) that I got was to try "not outlining the sections in ink."  Well, I think I've done that in this piece. No borders - the art just sorta floats... hmm... I'll be trying more and posting them as they are completed.

I called this one BUG.

I don't have a title for this one.

I also scanned them on a dark background to make them POP on the page.

More tangles

I finally scanned some more of my tangles. Here's a few I've done this month.

I like the mix of dark and light spaces on the one above.

Just more artwork. This was a smaller one I did. I used Euca, Dragonaire and Bubbles tangles. The part that looks like a parking lot was actually a "mistake" although there are no mistakes in tangling. SO, I called it Parking Lot. I'll have to use it again - perhaps submit it as a "new" tangle -- but there's probably one out there similiar that I don't know about.

Here's another:

This one uses Punzel (get it? Rapunzel - the long hair braid), Tink, BB and Box spirals. I couldn't find a name for the circle spirals, but I'm sure there is one.  I need to learn how to do the shading.

It's Sunday - time for Everquest!

More Sundoo

My new hobby gets me off the computer for a bit each day. My other hobby is an online game called EQ2. Anyway, while I'm drawing,  I connect to tanglepatterns.com to look for patterns for my next Zentangle.
Here's another tangle - I probably should call them zentangle inspired, since I don't always follow the "rules".

Similiar to the first one. I was trying out a new tangle called Sundoo. I like it as a border.
